If It Weren't for the Last Minute...

...Nothing would get done.
We are down to the wire with just one week until we have our private party at the shop and I have one room full of boxes of merchandise needing to be entered into the computer, unpacked, priced and displayed.  Dad isn't anywhere near being ready; he hasn't yet arranged his display pieces or rummaged through the hundreds (thousands?) of boxes packed in one of the barns. However, many of his items are ready for display because they were prepped for sales last summer.

Yesterday, I designed our gift certificates,  printed signs for local stores to post and placed a last minute order for handmade sterling silver jewelry (more on this later).  Today, we pick-up our signs, which need to be mounted to the building. This is exciting and I cannot wait to take pictures!
It is easy to be positive about things coming together because we've had some spring-like weather, which has lifted my spirits and renewed my energy. I am feeling very relaxed and positive about everything getting done in time. Maybe this is why I've toyed with the idea of heading to Vermont with Melanie, Tyler, Dad and Joan this weekend.  Melanie says that she won't go unless I do and she REALLY wants to go. Hmmmm. It's something to think about. With Melanie, Tyler, Dad and Joan all skiing, I would have a time to wander and snap pictures, which sounds like a nice, relaxing weekend for me but that room full of boxes would be in the back of my mind...looming...taunting me...calling me, "Shana, we are here...waiting for you to take care of us...You have a lot to do." So much for relaxing. I would, also, miss Dan and Mandy, who have no interest in traveling this weekend. Maybe, heading to Vermont isn't such a good idea for this weekend?
It's 7:45am and  I think that I've spent enough time blogging this morning; besides, I hear the boxes calling...
