Do you Etsy?

There is no doubt in my mind that I am addicted to shopping. And, like most genetic diseases, this addiction was passed onto me by my mother and I have graciously passed it onto my daughters.

I am not, by any means, limited to specific categories of shopping. I like to shop for anything; just ask my husband. Thankfully,  I've managed to abstain from Internet shopping unless absolutely necessary. I've avoided sites like eBay for years following a rather disappointing experience with a purchase. Unfortunately, I've recently been lured to http://www.etsy.com,/ which is a website that allows people to sell handmade items, vintage items and crafts and it is a shopping addict's heroine...

Etsy offers something for everyone. In fact, it was a friend's recent FB post that most recently had me on Etsy when she posted a picture of her Margarita Drop earrings. I love these earrings and they are now on my wish list (and, no, it is not JUST BECASUE they happened to be named after my favorite drink)! (Margarita Drop Earrings by BreadandButterSilver on Etsy)

Another friend, offers incredible confections, belgian chocolates, trail mixes...YUM! (Nicole's Homeade Treats)

During the last couple of months, as I've been considering a rehab of my daughters' bedrooms; this is a large project to undertake because the girls have very specific tastes when it comes to their bedroom decor. I've spent hours on Etsy perusing artwork, bedding and other items for my project. The vinyl cling wall art is especially tempting because it is easily applied and removed--a "must have" for any artwork and/or accessories...

Of course, I still favor getting out of the house and going to a craft fair, an antique sale, the outlets or even the mall over online shopping; this is something that will not change despite the enticing ease sites like Etsy offer shoppers. But, in the dead of winter, when there isn't an outdoor market for miles, Etsy is a definite "fix" for the addicted shopper!
