Kicking Off Summer 2010 with a Virtual Wish List!

I've admitted to my shopping obsession, so it will come as no surprise to anyone  I am kicking off my Summer 2010 Virtual Wish List. As summer kicks-off, there are a few things I absolutely know that I need for my summer outings. Now, purchasing these items is a horse of another color...Isn't that the saying? While it would be awesome to have the funds for my virtual wish list, it defintely "ain't so."

It's in the Bag...
For the weekend-er...Baggallini's Hampton Bag in mushroom/caspian blue is the perfect bag! The lightweight, water resistant nylon fabric makes this bag an all around top seller.
This bag measures 16" x 12" x 7" and weighs a mere 1.4 pounds-- perfect for carrying it as a shopping tote, yet large enough to serve as an overnight bag!
House of Shalimar on the Ithaca Commons carries Baggallini, as do a few other shops in Ithaca and Syracuse. Often, though, you are limited in choice of colors and styles. If you want a specific color, then shopping for the bag online is your best bet! Shoebuy.com routinely offers Baggallini at 10-20% less than the Baggallini site itself. However, again, you may not have a full range of choices in color...eBags.com, typically, offers great prices on these bags and seems to have a larger selection of colors and styles!

Summer Sample Sales...
Of course, I can find a lot of bags at Kate Spade's SAMPLE SALE-- which is held now thru the 18th of June. Looking for a great wallet or classy bag? Check out this sale, which offers Kate Spade clothing, accessories, handbags and more at 50-75% off!
Kate's Lady Marmalade Large Ball Pendant Necklace has a certain charm and could be paired with simple hoops and casual clothing. Gotta love simple and casual! (Retailed for $165 and is now only $69!) A Sample Sale has something for everyone...At least I think it does! In case you aren't familiar with Sample Sales, I encourage you to visit SHEfinds.com, where you will find a list of all online Sample Sales.
Calling all Girl-Geeks...
Now, I cannot forget my geeky side and list a couple tech items on my virtual wish list...

For Christmas last year, I bought my husband the Sony Reader; he loves it! Now, as an avid and fast reader, I feel that I am deserving of a Reader... While there are a few different options (touch versus non-touch, screen size, etc.), I think I will be happy with whichever one I get. I do however, like the idea of the touchscreen, which, to me, would seem more like a [real] book when it comes to turning pages!
The most costly item on my virtual wish list? Easy. A new Sony Vaio! Oh how I miss my Vaio... While I am happy with the size and weight of my Toshiba Netbook, it definitely doesn't compare to the Vaio. Additionally, the tiny screen coupled with the amount of time I spend online, has recently been causing some problems with my eyesight. (It's either blame the Netbook or the fact that I am getting old. It's definitely the Netbook!).

Beside my history with Sony's Vaio, there is this odd tech-geeky attraction to the newest models in brilliant colors. Have you seen the new EB Series' Hibiscus Pink and Carribbean Green???  Could Sony have designed a laptop more perfect for my daughters???What about my personal favorite, the CW Series' Brilliant Pink??? To die for!
I, also, cannot forget reading material for this summer... Now, I may be able to handle purchasing one or two of these...
  • David Kirkpatrick's The Facebook Effect
  • Kathryn Schulz's Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error
  • Ann Brashares' My Name is Memory
  • Ellen Hopkins' Fallout
  • Jennifer Weiner's Fly Away Home
  • Jane Green's Promises to Keep
